PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS – A STEP WELL BEYOND LICENSING:
Nearly all licensed appraisers do not hold advanced designations/education. Atom Levi has earned the MAI and SRA professional appraisal designations awarded by The Appraisal Institute. The Appraisal Institute was founded in 1932 as the “American Institute of Real Estate Appraiser” (AIREA), now The Appraisal Institute. Appraisal Institute designated members have met rigorous requirements relating to education, testing, experience and demonstration of knowledge, understanding and ability. A designation represents advanced knowledge. A designation stands for years of proven, real-life real estate valuation experience. Being a designated member of the Appraisal Institute always mean a commitment to strict professional ethics and standards.
The MAI membership designation is held by professionals who provide a wide range of services on all types of real property related to providing opinions of value, evaluations, review, consulting and advice on investment decisions, among other things. Property types may include commercial, industrial, agricultural, residential, and vacant land. There are approximately 8,000+/- MAIs.
The SRA membership designation is held by professionals who provide a wide range of services for residential properties related to providing opinions of value, evaluations, reviews, consulting, and advice regarding investment decisions.

LICENSING:
Mr. Levi MAI, SRA is licensed by the California Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers as a Certified General (AG) appraiser. He has been licensed since 1991, when licensing began. The AG license permits a scope of practice which covers all real estate without regard to transaction value or complexity.
